Cool Roof Shingles and Tile
We offer "Cool Roof" shingles by GAF that slow heat build-up for a more energy-efficient home. The Cool Color Series shingle is manufactured using highly reflective granules that bounce back the sun's rays and more effectively release absorbed heat. They are rated by the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) and meet initial ENERGYSTAR® performance levels. In addition to "Cool Roof" shingles, we offer "Cool Roof" tile.
We use clay tiles by US Tile, which have the ability to reflect solar energy rather than convert that energy to heat. These tile roofs have an 86% thermal emittance and both "Cool Roof" shingles and "Cool Roof" tile will help you save on energy costs during peak energy demand periods; therefore the typical home will experience a reduction of 10% to 25% in air conditioning related energy consumption.
